Confidence, Manners & Social Skills for Young Ladies and Gentlemen in Grades 1–5
Helping Young Ladies & Gentlemen Build Confidence That Lasts a Lifetime
For more than 30 years, the National League of Junior Cotillions® Nashville & Williamson County Chapters have helped young people develop confidence, character, respectful communication, and social skills that prepare them for success in school, leadership, future careers, and life.
Through Pre-Cotillion, Junior Cotillion, and Tea & Etiquette, our mission is simple: to help students become confident, respectful, and thoughtful young ladies and gentlemen.
Kevin and Suzette Wimpy have led the Nashville & Williamson County Chapters with a passion for helping young people grow in confidence and character.
As parents of two daughters who completed both years of Junior Cotillion, they experienced firsthand the lasting impact the program had—not only in social settings, but in confidence, communication, and personal growth. That perspective continues to shape the welcoming, encouraging environment they strive to create for every family.
Together, they also own Kevin Wimpy Portraits in Brentwood, where they have served Middle Tennessee families for more than 20 years while building a reputation for excellence, integrity, and meaningful relationships.
Supported by an outstanding team of Teaching Assistants, Advisory Board members, and volunteers, Suzette is committed to creating welcoming, engaging experiences where every student feels encouraged to learn, grow, and succeed.
Creating an exceptional experience requires many caring people working together.
Our chapters are supported by dedicated Teaching Assistants, Advisory Board members, volunteers, parents, and community partners who share a commitment to helping students grow in confidence, character, and social grace.
Our Teaching Assistants have completed two or more years of Junior Cotillion and return to mentor younger participants, creating a meaningful connection between past and present students.

Jennifer has a background in Retail Management and Administration. Her ability to keep all the i's dotted and t's crossed is amazing. Each Junior Cotillion class and event is quite the production made up of hundreds of moving parts, and we are thankful she helps us keep track of them all.

Emily is a youth mister in Brentwood and the mother of two children. She graduated from the two-year junior program before becoming a teaching assistant for over 12 years,
"Cotillion had an incredibly positive impact on my life, so I feel like I am giving back by teaching. I love watching the students learn new things that will stick with them for the rest of their lives."

Presley helps manage the teaching assistants and loves to help. She is starting her sixth year of teaching. She is entering her sophomore year of college, studying architecture. She especially loves helping teach Pre-Cotillion.

Jimmy is a great role model for the students and teaching assistants. He helps with everything from setup to demonstrations and skits. He is beginning his senior year of high school .

The Nashville & Williamson County Chapters are honored to be supported by an exceptional Advisory Board of parents and community leaders who share a passion for investing in the next generation.
Their guidance, experience, and commitment help strengthen our programs, uphold the high standards families have come to expect, and ensure that every student enjoys a meaningful and memorable experience.
